10 Nations That Offer Highest Quality Of Life


Bangalore: People like to settle and live in countries that offer a good quality of life. A nation that offers its people a good life is certainly wanted by one and all. Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has conducted a survey on the highest quality of life among the 34 members countries based on factors including income, safety, life satisfaction, and health, and then rated each country on a 10-point scale.  The lists of top 10 countries with the highest qualities of life in the ranking orders are as follows:-

Australia:
Australia for the second consecutive years tops the list of the countries with the highest quality of life with an average household disposal income of $28,884. Top classes of the society earn six times more than the lower strata of the society.  The population witnessed a 73 percent population has a paid job and work for 1693 hours annually. During recent elections, it was noted that the outstanding voter turnout was 93 percent which is far above the OECD average of 72 percent.

Sweden:
Sweden takes the second place with an average income of $26,242. It has 74 percent people employed with a paid job and who work for 1,644 hours in a year. The country ranks highly in all the environmental categories with level of air pollutant particles at 10 micrograms per cubic meter — much lower than the OECD average of 21 micrograms per cubic meter. Top 20 percent of the society earns four times as much as the poor 20 percent section of the society.
