Withdraw Cash Up To 2,000 from 258 Big Bazaar and Fbb Stores

BENGALURU: One of the largest hypermarket chains in India-Big Bazaar has tied up with the State Bank of India to enabled mini ATMs across all its 260 stores. The retailer announced mini ATMs to help consumers withdraw cash while they shop and will be accessible from 24th of November.

The new initiative will be a major relief for cash crunch India where individuals will now be able to withdraw cash up to 2,000 from Big Bazaar and Fbb using debit cards. Big Bazaar announced that the facility will be available at 258 Big Bazaar and fbb stores in over 115 cities and towns across the country. Kishore Biyani, Chairman, Future Retail, said “We are trying hard to ease any difficulties faced by customers due to the demonetization of some currency notes and support the government's initiative in meeting its objective.” He also added that “Now with customers being able to withdraw cash at Big Bazaar stores, they are welcome to visit Big Bazaar stores instead of queuing up at banks and ATMs.”

There will be a dedicated cash counter at the Big Bazaar stores where customers can swipe their debit cards, enter PIN, and withdraw up to 2000 rupees in cash.  The cash withdrawal facility will be subject to all applicable restrictions imposed by banks, Reserve Bank of India and government notifications from time to time.
