Bangalore: Creations should be respected and so should all ‘Inventions’ be, the very logic behind an invention can be a purpose driven one or rather a foolish idea, some of the great inventions are mere accidents and if tracked down, it can probably be a foolish thought, an accident or an invention that popped up during some other invention.
It is surprising to know that few of such great inventions that we accommodate in our daily life is an accidental thought or an idea that flashed in junk. The inventions of Penicillin, Viagra, microwave etc were ideas that flashed without any pre determined plan. Let’s credit the inventors and know more about such inventions that changed the world.
“Brings good things to life”
Inventions in the medical field has always amazed the world and the invention of Viagra, a drug that is used to sustain sexual activity was an accidental invention. During the early 1980’s two renowned researchers were digging their chemical lab at the pharmaceutical company Pfizer to invent a drug that can cure High Blood Pressure and a heart condition called Angina. Their hard work was complete only during the late 1980’s and the drug was ready to be tested on humans.
They called the drug UK-92480 and tested on many patients but it wasn’t really successful. Multiple patients reported that the drug did not help in curing blood pressure but the treatment gave side effects and caused erections, the researchers were curious and moved forward to learn more about it. After sometime the company built the drug the way it worked and launched a trial to use the drug for erectile dysfunction disorder. It proved very successful and they named it Viagra. It was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in 1998.
This invention has truly helped many relationships and Yeah! Thanks to that drug which changed like a chameleon.
