International Solar Alliance will include 100 solar rich nations, all of them situated on or around the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. The alliance of these countries is working towards delivering clean, affordable and renewable solar energy to all.

Considering the rise of global warming in the planet, solar energy is an efficient option to bring down the carbon emissions. Thus the participating countries have come forward to promote solar power in their nations that will contribute in sustainable development.

The idea of this alliance of countries was put forward by Narendra Modi which has also inspired the others to contribute in the same.
