Mega Kitchens of India are incredible examples of humanity and the only ingredients they seem to be using in there are love and devotion. Didn’t get it yet? Mega Kitchens of India are India’s non-profitable organizations who have been serving tones of food to millions of Indians every single day without fail. These organizations act as parents to thousands of people and guard them from the trauma called ‘hunger’ ever reaching them.

Here we take you on a tour around the mammoth kitchens of India—

Akshaya Patra—

Akshaya Patra

15 tons of rice, 4 tons of pulses and 8 tons of vegetables are cooked in 24 kitchen units across every morning to cater 10, 660 schools across ten Indian states. Akshaya Patra wing of ISKCON institute implements Indian Government’s Mid-day meal scheme and offers food to 1.4 million school children every single day and even to patients in hospitals. The NGO’s three-storeyed kitchen in Hubli alone churns out over 15, 000 meals in a day and the cooking starts by 3.00 A.M. in the morning. The organization through its works gives employment opportunities to over 4, 000 men and 2, 200 women. Now that is a selfless act!
