Bangalore: When you hear the word ‘Titanic’, all that comes to mind today is the fact that the 3D movie got released recently; the one with Jack and Rose and the tragic story of love and death. If you read the news regularly, you might even remember a report about how Chinese audiences weren’t very happy because it was censored too much.

But the disaster that struck the RMS Titanic was one of epic proportions. More than a thousand people died, and most because of the freezing water. This leaves one wondering-- how many of us really thought about the doomed ship that was once reported to be ‘unsinkable’? Was the movie accurate? How much of it was true?

Father Francis Browne took some of the best pictures of the Titanic while he was aboard it on a journey from England. By a shot of good luck, his superior refused to let him travel to New York, and he had to disembark at Cork.

And what better day for us to take a look at these never-before-seen-pictures of the ill-fated Titanic, (as posted on Digg); than 13 Friday?

Take a look at 6 of the never-before-seen pictures of the RMS Titanic
