Six New IIMs: Many More Approvals By The Union Cabinet


BENGALURU: The promise of Narendra Modi for the revival of ‘Achche Din’ across the country seems to be taken care of by all sections of the government. One reflection was when the Union cabinet sanctioned more than three approvals at the same time on 24th, this month.

The important sanctions made by the Union cabinet are as follows, compiled by the Business Insider:

Rs 81,459 crore revised estimate for East-West freight corridor


The proposed broad gauge corridor by the Indian railways across the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh,Gujarat and Rajasthan called Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor or Eastern DFC got approval of a revised cost  of valuation  81,459crore. The double line electrified track has been allotted Rs 73,392 crore for construction purpose. 8,067 crore isestimated as land acquisition cost for the project. The 534-km Sonnagar-Dankuni project is not included in this budget allocation.
