Salary of Indian President v/s Global Counterparts

Bangalore: While considering developing nations, the only thought that crosses one’s mind is that a minimum of 40percent are still poor. Most developing countries are stated as poor in comparison with those which are fully developed. Aren’t these countries making enough money to develop themselves?

A country like Pakistan has Ministers who get paid more than a lakh per month. India is no less as it has a number of ministers who are also paid well despite their negative contributions. Many politicians are enjoying a luxurious living with bulky salaries, showing least interest to add that extra effort in helping their country develop.

Outgoing Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is said to be the second richest man in Pakistan. He earns a salary of 2.5 lakhs per month which is more than that of the Indian President. Pranab Mukherjee’s monthly salary is 1.5 lakh per month, nearly half the salary of the Pak President. With the kind of lavish lives that most ministers in Pakistan are experiencing, it can certainly not be called a poor country.

Some of the salaries of other politicians in the world have been listed here, as mentioned in Daily Bhaskar.
