National Nutrition Week :Village Kids Find Role Model In Sania

BANGALORE: It’s not Sania Mirza who is becoming the talk of the town it’s this little angel from the small unknown village called Gaura who is becoming a sensation, reports TOI.

A six year old kid, a daughter of a potter is reportedly the only healthy child in the entire village that also is an assessment by an NGO on health care. The reason for her to be an inspiration for other families is her healthy body and soul, which is very well reflected in her smile.

Reports also said that the main reason for Sania’s good health is usage of a toilet at home, whereas the rest of the village prefers the open field for defecation. The also follow all the basis hygiene procedure of using soap before eating or handling with food, Also her mother Salma recalled that she had been seeing the doctor a several times during her pregnancy and had also consumed iron tablets. Although she could not breastfeed the baby in the first hour but maintained the breast-feeding for six months. The couple was particular about feeding Sania for at least four times a day. They got the baby immunized as per the schedule given by their community health centre.

Sania’s Story can help change the mindset or perspective of hygiene in all over India, which has an emerging number in the census of malnutrition kids or even of people being deprived of basic knowledge of hygiene. It’s a basic duty of ours
to educate each one about the hygiene for a quality of life.
