Love: The Most Potent Cause for Murders In India

It is nerve wracking to know that 119 deaths are found from an evil act like witchcraft all throughout the country especially states like  Odisha (32) followed by Jharkhand (26), Andhra Pradesh (24) and Bihar (13). Nationwide figure in 2012 is much lesser than the 240 recorded in 2011.

In India, the rate of murders recorded not only for the above mentioned criminal acts but also the political motives claimed 120 lives across the country. In Bihar 32 political murders top the list for such crime followed by Madhya Pradesh with 28 murders and West Bengal with 22. In 2012, Political murders were lower than the 240 recorded in 2011 and 174 in 2001. The sharp decline is largely attributed to the decline in political killings in Andhra Pradesh from 39 in 2001 and 33 in 2011 to just 2 in last year.

Thus, it is high time for the country’s judiciary and the people in power to impose stricter laws to curb such different forms of rising crimes.
