At the same time, I am thankful to Akashvani for broadcasting the versions of this program in regional languages at 8 Pm. I am delighted that listeners of Mann ki Baat convey their suggestions and feedback to me through the MyGov website, letters, calls and Narendra Modi app. Your views help me a lot in government activities. The communication between people and me is important to realize that how dynamic the government should be in public welfare. I hope that you will more actively participate in the process.”

Following are the top 10 highlights from PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat episode

1. Many states have initiated noticeable efforts to mitigate problems arising from water scarcity. The issues in drought torn areas of Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have been dealt with extensive use of technology. These states have also implemented successful water conserving techniques.  However, what is of the essence is Jan Bhagidari (People’s Participation). We realize how precious a gift is water, when we splash it on our faces and feel revived. Therefore, I appeal to the people of India not to waste water, especially in the months of June, July, August and September.

2. Summer is intensifying, and everyone expects a relief from this scorching heat in the coming days. But contrary to our hopes, the temperature drop has become a far distant dream owing to delayed monsoons. Not just humans, but even birds and animals are equally troubled by the rising temperatures. These environmental changes are a result of deforestation, or in other words, man paved the way for his destruction by destroying the nature. On 5th of June, World Environment Day, let’s join hands with the rest of the world to discuss and express concerns towards environmental protection. The theme for 2016 is zero tolerance for illegal wildlife trade.
