International Women's Day: A Tribute To All The Inspiring Women


BENGALURU: Do women actually need a day to remind them that they are part of the society and they do make a difference? Technically No, but  there is a need to prove that world have been leaving a mark in all walks of life.  From Politics to rocket science, performing arts to social activism, there is almost nothing a woman cannot do today.

Of all such iconic women in the world there are a few who deserve a special mention this day, as they have been the inspiration behind women in all corners of the world to rise up to their rights. They may or may not be feminists, but they definitely proved that the world belongs to women just as much as it does to men.

Here are such epochal women who we need to pay tribute to this International Women’s Week:

Maya Angelou# Maya Angelou:

Who Was She? A Poet, an Author or something beyond anything that could be named as a profession. If one remembers Angelou, they ought to remember this line ‘we are more alike than unalike’. The deep love she had for the truth and her firm stand on civil rights enriched the value of equality in its real sense. This matriarch became an inspiration for all of us. Her first and the most influential milestone was crossed in 1969, when her memoir I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings to her friendship, with Martin Luther King Jr.
