NEW DELHI: Indian Army choppers on Saturday braved bad weather and bad terrain to continue rescue and relief operations in quake-hit Nepal.
Army officials said the choppers were landing at difficult locations to rescue people and provide relief material.
Advanced light helicopters (ALHs) of the army and Mi17 of the Indian Air Force led the rescue operations, carrying tonnes of relief material and rescuing trapped people.
On Friday, field hospitals of the Indian Army, deployed at Lagenkhel, treated 119 patients while the medical team at Barpak treated 129 people.
The field hospital at Senamangal has treated 94 people while the medical team at Gorkha treated eight people.
The engineer teams at Barpak were working at opening roads.
The army was also providing assistance to locals in repairing their houses, officials said.
