Bangalore: All good things indeed come to an end! So are the careers of many great sporting personalities. But, at the end of the day, only few can make a mark and become the cynosure of all eyes. Here are the names of such sportsperson who are retired on a very high note as listed by India TV-

1. Sachin Tendulkar:
As master blaster Sachin Tendulkar's 24-year-long illustrious international cricket career came to an end, the nation bid adieu to the ‘God of cricket’. Until his last match, he unveiled his potential in front of thousands of adoring fans with 74 runs along with a disciplined bowling display.

Sachin began his international career against arch rivals Pakistan on their home territory, Karachi back in1989. He was only 16 years old then. Un-intimidated and full of confidence, he took on his opponents with such fierceness that the world had to sit back and take notice. Sachin who had arrived with a bang, exited on a high note too. He has retired leaving behind records that will not only be hard to beat but may never be broken.
