The documentary is made after the efforts of ten years and it tells us an inspirational story and shows us how women empowerment should be done, reports Indiatimes.

Selvi was a young child bride from south India, when she got married at the age of 13 even before she could realize what marriage is. She has been a victim for physical abuse for almost 5 years by the relatives and finally she decided to run away from home at the age 18. She wanted to put an end to her life but she decided to board bus to Odanadi women’s refuge in Mysore. This is when her life took a major turn.

At Odanadi women’s refuge in Mysore, she was taught how to drive and those lessons became a new chapter of her life. She became the first female taxi driver in south India. Not only she drives cabs but also she drives like a man and can drive buses and trucks too. After the haunting past she has moved on and married the love of her life and has two kids. The Canadian filmmaker has put a lot of efforts to bring out the story of Selvi and inspire millions of women in the country.
