HMS Tireless

HMS Tireless of the Royal Navy is a nuclear submarine launched in the year 1984. The submarine is said to be second in the Royal navy to bear this name. The recent modifications in the design, weapons have helped the submarine to run strong even after quarter of a century. According to the navy, HMS Tireless is said to be decommissioned this year.

During an exercise in the Arctic, there was an explosion in the submarine killing two soldiers on the spot. The mariners were said to be training on oxygen generator as a part of the exercise during the explosion. Although the officials of the navy stated it was just a minor damage, the submarine had damaged its front bow part. The HMS tireless has been having a series of accidents in the last decade and this was the first time sailors died on board.

The submarine managed to escape the explosion as it did not affect the nuclear reactor. This saved the lives of the others in the vessel.
