BENGALURU: War is inevitable in today’s world. It is just that it has taken different forms and there are different war zones, from cyber war to bio war. So it is part of the human nature. There are a number of men and women who fight for their countries willingly. There are some vulnerable sections in society that are either too young or not in their right state of mind to make their own decisions. Children of all are worst hit in the society. But children in war torn regions are the necessities to fight a war and are sadly the easy targets of the governments, militias and armed bandits.

The Richest has come up with a list of ten countries that went on to commit the worst form of exploitation against children. These are the countries which have the worst track records for recruiting child soldiers.

Chad: Fertile Ground for Child Soldiers

There are hundreds of thousands of destitute children who live as refugees in the war torn regions of Chad. These 13-14 year old children are being extensively exploited by the Chadian National Army. Kids from Chad and Darfur regions narrate the dark stories how they have been compelled into joining the army. Amnesty International has reported that certain sporadic armed groups have been recruiting 13 year old teens. Around half a million people living in the refugee or displacement camps in eastern Chad are forced to flee their homes and childhood to get into violence. Civil war between the north and south still persists in the region which is why there is no sign of development. The government has vowed to end such recruits but there is a lot of work that is yet to be done in this regard.
