CWG: Meet India's 10 Gold Medal Winners


# Jitu Rai (Pistol Shooting)

Jitu Rai won gold with a superb finishing score– 194.1, which is also a CWG record.

He was ranked World No.1 in men’s air pistol in the latest list released by the International Shooting Federation. The 27 year old army man is the seventh Indian shooter to achieve this feat and India is proud of him.

# Satish Kumar Sivalingam (Weightlifting)

He fulfilled his parents dream to see him win a gold medal in a multi-sporting event— Commonwealth Games at Glasgow. The 22 year old Satish won a gold medal in 2013 Commonwealth Championships as well and in CWG 14’ he lifted a total of 328kg (149+ 179) to become the clear winner. He is a Southern Railway employee and his father serving in the army. "My father initiated me to weightlifting and I started at a village gym when I was just 15 years old. For the last four years I have been training, first at home and then at NIS Patiala at the national camp with the single-minded determination to win gold in CWG.”
