Bangalore: There is something about mobile apps that has got the world asking for more. The vibe has caught many Indians creating a new whim for consulting the device for medical advice. A rising number of Indians are turning to mobile apps for remedy regarding health concerns from common pains to severe aches. The high number of new efficient application available on smartphones in the country has made it easy for many to avail info from experts in less time.

These days’ consumers are downloading specialized apps that offer solution from migraine to toothache and also provide information from best options for surgery to choosing qualified doctors in the specific medical fields.

Natasha Menon when struck by stint of migraine, the 23 year old downloaded an application on Android phone from Health Magic; a Bangalore based company rather than visiting any doctor in the vicinity. Menon, who is a Bangalore based content writer said, “I could get a doctor advice in just a couple of hours, a hospital visit would have taken longer for sure,” as reported by ET Bureau.

With more consumers like Menon shifting to their phones for advice has provided a booming market for startups developing such applications. The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has estimated the mobile apps industry to grow to Rs 1,804 crore.
