BJP Leader, U.S. Congressman Discuss Modi's U.S. Visit


NEW DELHI: BJP leader Vijay Jolly met U.S. Congressman Edward R. Royce in Los Angeles to discuss Prime Minister Narendra Modi's forthcoming visit to the U.S., said a release.

Jolly, global convenor, Overseas Friends of BJP and Royce, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, spoke for 45 minutes on India-U.S. relations. Royce is also chairman of the India Caucus in the U.S.

Royce expressed keen desire to meet and welcome Modi along with his foreign affairs committee members in Washington D.C. Jolly promised to convey this to the Indian officials arranging the prime minister's U.S. visit in end September, said a statement from Jolly's office.

Jolly extended an invitation to Royce to attend the Sep 28 public programme organised by the Indian American Community Foundation for Modi's welcome at the Madison Square Garden, New York.
