Bangalore: Though there are many churches in every nook and corner of the world, there are some spectacular churches that stood out unique because of its design, architecture and size. Cathedral of Brasilia, Brazil:
The Cathedral of Brasilia also known as Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora Aparecida- "Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady Aparecida" is an expression of the architectural hospitability designed by Oscar Niemeyer. It is the Roman Catholic cathedral serving Brazil, and serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Brasilia. The cathedral is a hyperboloid structure constructed from 16 concrete columns, weighing 90 tons each. Four bronze sculptures 3 m high, representing the Evangelists are constructed at the external square in the entrance of the Church. Inside the nave, three sculptures of angels are suspended by steel cables. The smallest angel has 2,22 m of length and weighs 100 kg. The cathedral is visited by around 1,000,000 visitors each year.

Jubilee Church:
It is formally known as Dio Padre Misericordioso, located in Rome. Its construction began in the year 1998.It is the 50th new church and community center build throughout the suburbs of Rome. The church's site is divided into 4 main parts-first, precinct, the northeast terrace and the West Parking Area. According to its architect, Richard Meier-it is the crown Jewel of the Vicariato di Roma's Millennium Project. He also claims that the church minimizes thermal peak loads inside. The church sits on a flat, triangular site in Tor Tre Teste about 6 miles east of Central Rome.
