Amazing Products Invented by Women

BANGALORE: Women have always proved their fortitude by getting progress to the field or the company they get into. From colored flares to dishwashers, women have been part of the inventions that have eased and made our lives colorful. Here are some of the women who have created amazing inventions which has changed the world into an exciting and a progressive place, as compiled by the rediff.

# Chocó chip Cookies: To start with something yummy, the chocolate chip cookies was an accidental invention by Ruth Graves Wakefield in the year 1930. She discovered these delicious cookies when she ran out of the regular chocolate, which she always used and had to replace it with pieces irregular chunks of chocolate with the thought it would melt and mix with the dough, but instead it turned out to be invention unique baked delicacy.

# Dish washer: Dish washer was invented by Josephine Cochrane in 1886. The idea crossed her mind when her servants would break her fine China dish wares and Cochrane worked on it  herself by first measuring the dishes, building wire compartments specifically to fit cups, saucers and plates and placing the compartments inside a wheel which stood inside a copper boiler. A motor turned the wheel while soapy water sprayed from the bottom of the boiler raining them on the dishes. Soon this got her the ticket to fame as she started getting large orders from restaurants, leading to patenting the invention.
