All that You Need to Know About the Benefits and Services of Reliance Jio 4G


BENGALURU: Mukesh Ambani has launched a multi-billion dollar telecom venture in the name of Reliance Jio. With that the Chairman of Reliance has announced that anyone using the Jio SIM will be eligible for free data usage until December 31st. This announcement from the telecom giant took the industry by storm and has revolutionized the whole Indian telecom sector by keeping themselves ahead of other counterparts. The plans and tariffs Reliance is providing is so cheap that customers will have to pay only Rs 50 for one GB of data, which has indeed started putting pressure on current telecom operators. Reliance is also providing unlimited free local/STD voice calls and roaming services.

Jio’s introductory offer starts with a base plan of Rs 149 with 28 days validity and that includes 300 MB of 4G data, 100 SMS, and Jio app subscription worth Rs 1,250. The second plan is of Rs 499 with the benefits of 4GB 4G data along with unlimited night usage and 8GB JioNet WiFi Hotspot access. The Rs 999 plan gives 10 GB 4G data and 20GB WiFi access. Rs 1,499 pack gives 20GB data and 40GB Hotspot access. For customers opting for Rs 2,499 plan the data limit increases to 35 GB with 70GB WiFi access.

Other available service of Reliance Jio comes at the price of Rs 3,999 and 4,999. The Rs 3,999 plan provides a benefit of 60GB 4G data and 120GB WiFi access while Rs 4,999 gives 75GB 4G data and 150GB WiFi Hotspot access. The plans ranging from Rs 499-4,999 includes unlimited night usage, free unlimited local/STD SMS along with Jio app subscription worth Rs 1,250. For occasional data users, the Reliance Jio tariff includes pack of Rs 19 and Rs 129 with benefits of 100MB and 750MB data with a validity of 1 day and 7 days respectively.

Reliance is specifically targeting the youth by providing 25% extra data to the students having a valid ID card. The company took this initiative to connect majority of schools and colleges of India with the help of Wi-Fi. Reliance claimed that 18,000 towns and cities along with 2 lakh villages are already in the reach of 4G networks. The company aims at providing the country’s first 4G LTE enabled mobile network to 90% population by the first quarter of 2017.
