NEW DELHI: The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government on Thursday will present in the legislative assembly here its budget for the 2015-16 financial year.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia will present the first budget of the AAP government.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and extended his best wishes to Sisodia.
"Manish presents his first budget Aam Admi's budget. I am sure he will meet aam admi's expectations. My best wishes," Kejriwal tweeted.
The budget session of Delhi's assembly began on June 23 and will conclude on June 30.
Sisodia tweeted: "Today's budget will be a budget reflecting the hopes, dreams and desire for change of the people of Delhi. #SwarajBudget."
Kejriwal and Sisodia will also hold a press conference after the budget presentation in the evening.
The AAP government took the opinion of the common people in framing the 2015-16 budget so that financial allocation was based on their requirements.
