A Motorcycle Ride from Bangalore to Kanyakumari to Spread Awareness on Wildlife


BENGALURU: The past few years has witnessed a drastic change in the way of travelling. Nowadays, people especially youngsters don’t wait for booking tickets in buses to travel, whereas, they prefer to make travelling more adventurous using motorcycles. The youth today believes that a motorcycle with a tank full of petrol can actually reach their destination in a convenient time”. Moreover, bikers are also venturing and exploring more and more destinations using two wheelers.

The Times of India city reveals that a 20 year old engineering student will endure a solo bike trip from Bengaluru to Kanyakumari with a motto of spreading the awareness to preserve wildlife. As a part of the National Wildlife Week, Suhas N will start the journey on October 4 earmarked as the World Animal Day and end it by October 14. Suhas N will also deliver talks about vulture and tiger conservations in schools while en-route and also distribute stickers with wildlife conservation messages imprinted on it to school children.

A student of RNS Institute of Technology, Suhas was gifted with his Benelli TNT 250cc bike five months ago, where, he had already travelled 7,000 km in it. Talking about the journey, Sushas said “I will begin my journey on World Animal Day from Bengaluru and travel via Pune, Surat, Mumbai, Mangaluru, Alappuzha to Kanyakumari.” He also agreed to share the live updates of this journey on his YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Being an animal lover, Suhas also took part in the Wild life Walk organized at Cubbon Park that marked the start of Wildlife Week. Save Tiger First co-founder N Ashok Hallur commented on this by saying that "It's good to see youngsters understanding the need for such awareness campaigns and dedicating their time and energy for the same."
