Welsh Corgis: Queen Elizabeth II: Corgis are the Welsh corgi dogs owned by Queen Elizabeth II and her parents. Elizabeth II was fond of corgis from her childhood as her mother owned a number of them. The queen has possessed over 30 corgis since her succession to the thrones of the United Kingdom. On her 18th birthday, Elizabeth was gifted a corgi of her own. All the royal corgis follow a disciplined routine introduced by the queen. Each of them has its own wicker basket, bed to sleep, and the meals were served in individual bowls. Each corgi has its own diet regimen that was approved by the veterinary experts. Thus the corgis enjoyed a privileged life at Buckingham Palace. At present, Elizabeth II owns two dorgis (corgis crossed with dachshunds) called Candy and Vulcan and two corgis named Holly and Willow. Due to Queen Elizabeth’s fondness for welsh corgis; royal corgis became popular across the world. Many of them were exhibited in numerous ways in the form of statues and works of art.
