Salman Rushdie:

Salman Rushdie is an Indian born ‘Booker Prize’ winner for his second novel ‘Midnight's Children.’ Rushdie’s fourth novel  ‘The Satanic Verses’ proved to be one of the most controversial books in India, hence the book was banned in India. As a result, Rushdie received threats form the protestors and exiled to England to live under the police protection. However the book was received well in Europe and America.
