Protul Chandra Sorcar: Profoundly known as the Father of Modern Indian Magic, PC Sorcar, rightly mentioned that magic was in his blood, as he stated, "When asleep I breathe Magic; when awake I work on Magic."

As his name is taken, the Indian rope trick, flying carpet, X-ray eyes crops up in our mind. He dedicated his whole life in what he desired the most. His dedication made him the World's Greatest Magician. He went around the Globe, and with his performances and charm revived the lesser known art of India, and brought accolades. He was the founder of All India Magic Circle where he guided many towards the world of Magic. PC Sorcar was born on February 23^rd 1913 in the small town of Tangail in Mymensing, which now is in Bangladesh. He was lucky to be born into a family of magicians of seven generations. When he passed away, the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi mourned saying, "...the death of Sorcar, has ended the glorious chapter of Indian Magic." Magicians in Bangladesh are against the decision to demolish the ancestral home of legendary Indian Magician PC Sorcar, and demanded that the government should protect the house, making it into a museum and run school of magic there.
