BENGALURU: Happy Earth Day! The World celebrates the ‘Earth Day’ though one single day of the year is not enough to celebrate what Earth gave us. Anyway, while Google celebrates the universal ‘auspicious’ day with its cute and colorful Earth Day Quiz, there are people living in the ‘dark holes of the world’, to whom the day might sound ridiculous and hilarious.

Who are these people and where do they live? The answers to these questions would explain why earth day is irrelevant to them. Livemint gives an enlightening list of places which ‘shouldn’t celebrate’ this day:

The ‘slum of Bangladesh’ which produces the waste from luxury leather goods. Bangladesh economy thrives on this leather industry that produces over 21, 000 square meters of liquid wastes which are cancer inducing toxic wastes daily. This untreated waste water leads to health hazards like acid burns to terminal cancer.
