10 People Whose Works Became More Famous Than Their Names

BENGALURU: If it hadn’t been for some innovative, antsy minds and their contributions, our lives would have looked very different from the present reality; commuting on horses, using twigs for dental hygiene, burning flicker oil lamps, the list runs miles. History reveres such minds. But, have you ever wondered about the mundane details of life that we undertake everyday, say brushing teeth every morning, zipping up a bag, stopping at a traffic signal; the answer would be “NO” for many of us. The device was a T-shaped pole unit with three positions: Stop, Go and a third position that halted traffic in all directions allowing pedestrians to cross streets safely.
