10 People Who Left Their Fortunes To Dogs

BANGALORE: Children of wealthy parents inherit their family wealth is common and a known fact. But, have you ever heard of dogs inheriting their master’s fortune? Yes, many people have given away their wealth to their best companion, dogs, without a pinch. When compared to other pets, dogs are considered to be the most loyal pets to their owners. Thus, as a reward of their loyalty and love, owners have written their fortune in the name of their dogs, before their death.

Here is the list of some masters who gave away their fortune to their dogs, as compiled by TopTenz.

1. Diana Myburgh

This is, perhaps, the real rags to riches story. One of the richest dogs in the world, Jasper is a Labrador and Doberman cross owned by a brewery baroness Diana Myburgh. She was very fond of dogs and that is when she got jasper from a Battersea Dogs' Home. His glossy black coat and pink tongue attracted Diana so much that she took him home and cared him until she died in 1995. Before Jasper, the heiress Diana already owned a whippet dog named Jason, thus she couldn’t get enough time to pamper them. However, it is said that the concerned mistress had already secured the future of her four-legged companions by willing them 25,000 pounds each. Soon after Jason’s death, jasper inherited his part of wealth too and ended up being the richest dog in the world.
