Zurich, Switzerland:
Zurich rounds off the tenth place on the list. The global city is best known for its quality of life. It ranks 11 in terms of economic activity, 24 for political power and 22 for knowledge and influence. It is also one of the most expensive cities in the world. Zurich is also a leading global city and one among the world's largest financial centers. It was ranked first on the Monocle's 2012 "Quality of Life Survey", a list of top 25 cities in the world "to make a base within".
