5 Must Know About The UN Climate Summit

BANGALORE:  Climate change is one of the biggest concerns in the world right now and though there have been major summit meets, reforms and global climate walks for awareness, there hasn’t been much of a change. This issue has raised huge concerns over the past ten years or even for a decade, as industrial growth has been on a huge rampant.

Nature has been taken for granted without proper research and methods to co- exist with industrial growth, the world is slowly and in some cases rapidly feeling the heat of this negligence.

In the wake of this continued ignorance at the depletion of natural health, the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, has called a meeting of all the world leaders to discuss the responsibilities that each country has in order to stop Climate Change.

The Copenhagen summit back in 2009 hasn’t seen much of a change so this will be a huge challenge once again for the nations to cooperate. There are five basic things that can be expected from the meet.

No New Treaty: The New York summit will have no new treaties, that were some of the basic grounds when held in Copenhagen in 2009. This meet will have the presence of all of the world leaders, heeding to the call of the UN secretary general Ban-Ki-Moon.

This meet is held in order to galvanize an understanding by the world leaders to come up with a deal that will be in effect next year after the Paris Summit 2015. Ban-Ki-Moon hopes this will bring the countries together with a perspective of playing their roles to minimize the effect of climate change.
