Year Since 'Lootera', Appreciation Hasn't Stopped: Sonakshi Sinha

MUMBAI: For "Dabangg" actress Sonakshi Sinha, "Lootera" came as a golden chance to prove her range as an actor. Now a year since the movie's release, she says the appreciation is still "pouring in".

"Been a whole year since 'Lootera'! Feels like just yesterday because the appreciation hasn't stopped pouring in :) thank you for the love," Sonakshi tweeted.

"Lootera", directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, had released July 4, 2013. Starring Ranveer Singh as the male lead, the movie is set in the era of the 1950s and has a rustic feel to it.

A nostalgic Ranveer posted on Twitter: "Fond memories of a beautiful Labour of Love. Lifelong treasure in my heart#1YearOfLootera @Ishikamohan @sonakshisinha".

Lootera is a beautiful but deeply flawed film that floors you with its audacious sensitivity and its tendency to use silences to punctuate emotions.
