Raj Kapoor

Belonging to the first family of the Hindi silver screen, Raj Kapoor was well known for his acting and direction. This legend was fondly nicknamed as the Showman of Bollywood because of his immense dedication and love towards cinema. He has achieved Padma Bhushan in 1971 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1987 for his contribution to Indian cinema. Bollywood saw the entry of several new actresses because of Raj Kapoor who introduced many established personalities. He has produced and directed many hit films under the R.K banner. Some of them are Barsaat, Awaara, Jis Desh Men Ganga, Anari and many more! His work has been so exemplary that people still continue to be inspired by him not just in India, but in European countries as well.
