Big Ticket: The Most Expensive Movies Of Last Year

BANGALORE: Movies releasing these days are no longer tight on budget, the production houses and the producers are placing their bets where they think will hit the fans blown whether it be a gigantic sum.

Some movies are made out of passion not going back on the quality of the film. The concept of international box office is that it has seen budgets that can leave you gaping, but the movies in 2014 left the box office itself gaping and wondering the producer’s hiatus at the back. Here are some movies that have budgets plunging in millions for a single film reports The Richest.

# Exodus: Gods and Kings – $140,000,000

Exodus: Gods and Kings is a retake of the 1956 religious epic film the ‘Ten Commandments’. The story revolves around Moses, the chosen one, who under God’s authority smites the pride of the Egyptian pharaoh to break the shackles latched onto his people in order to deliver them to the promise EXODUSland. Staring Christian Bale as Moses and Aaron Paul as Joshua, the film splashed out a lavish $140,000,000 with its toll of dramatic effect.

Nonetheless, the saying ‘old is gold’ is proven true since even after the advancement of technology in the film industry, the 1956 movie still remains undeterred from  its thrown. Like the first Ramses played by Yul Brynner had said “So shall it be written, so shall it be done.”
