Over 8, 000 Indian Companies Board Amazon Cloud Services

BANGALORE: Look back 6 or 7 years ago in Indian history where most of the enterprises didn’t know what exactly cloud computing is, at that time Apeejay Stya and Svran Group made their mind to take their $1 billion plus conglomerate to cloud.

And today the company is enjoying the best cloud features for all its group companies across 52 locations on Amazon cloud.

This has benefitted its company both in terms of financially and technically. By moving all its servers to Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company has reduced its internal IT staff from 23 to 3. This led to a cutting IT costs by over 80 percent.

According to Aditya Berlia, a management board member of the Delhi-based group, “The best part about AWS is that whenever I talk to them once in three months, they come up with a new way to reduce my cost, as against others who are constantly trying to dig into my pockets," reports The Times of India.
