McAfee Outlook On Indian Security Industry Trends 2014


Bangalore: India witnessed many incidences of cyber crimes in 2013.  The notorious NSA and CIA spying saga lead the government to form a new policy called National Cyber Security Policy to tackle cyber crooks. The government also asked its employees to stop communicating through U.S. email service providers. Then there was a mammoth cyber heist of Rs 2.4 crore targeting Yes Bank; TrueCaller hacked putting more than 1 million Indians’ data at risk; the Delhi Jal Board lodged a complaint against a fake department website- are just among many other cyber attacks that India suffered in 2013. The increased sophistication with which cyber criminals are targeting the enterprises and as well as individuals, it is the hour that seeks security providers gear up to this malice.
