Hackers Easily Exploiting Java

Bangalore: A latest version of Java 7 is opening the gates for hackers to penetrate into computers infected by that virus.
Several cyber security firms like Rapid7, Alien Vault etc have urged PC users around the globe to disable Java installed in their browsers as a glitch in the software is allowing the hackers to gain access to the infected computers. These warnings that started surfacing last weekend can rumple the faith of millions who have installed Java installed in their browsers. The code that attacks computers by exploiting the glitch in the latest version of Java has been identified by experts. The virus enables the hackers to gain access of the infected computer.
Oracle had once stated that close to 97 percent of the enterprise computers around the globe have Java installed in their browsers. The threat lies in the fact that the systems can get infected outside the knowledge of a user. This can happen if the user visits a website that has already been infected by the hackers. There has been no statement from Oracle’s side in order to give nay clarifications on this matter.
For the time being, experts have suggested users not to enable Java for universal use and instead recommended using Java browser plug-ins but that too on a case wise basis.
