Dell Attains #1 Spot In The India PC Market In Q1 CY 14


BANGALORE: Dell India, a leading end-to-end technology solutions provider today announced that it has attained the No.1 position in the Indian PC Market with a 23.1 percent share across segments in Q1CY2014, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). With 33.1 percent share, Dell is also the No.1 Notebook Brand in India. This leadership position, reiterates Dell’s belief in the PC business, and follows an impressive growth trajectory built over the last few quarters in commercial and consumer segments.

Dell showed consistent growth over last few quarters in the Consumer and Small business segment to successfully capture the No.1 spot in Q1CY14 with 21.4 percent share. Dell also leads the Small Business segment with an overall share of 26.2 percent (No.1 in notebook with 61.0 percent and desktop with 15.4 percent).
