BANGALORE: The Indian IT companies are forging ahead into the continental European markets as they have started showing an increased affinity towards Indian firms. Even though most of these companies have never aligned with India or even outsourced their services, the pressing economic conditions are thought to force them take this action, reports Times of India. Large enterprises from France, Germany and Switzerland top the chart of the countries looking forward to India for driving their Information technology needs.

Even though the continental European market remained inaccessible for Indian IT companies till now because of the tight competition from the local firms, the present inclination will help the Indian firms to mark their presence as well as to attain a higher sales growth.

Schneider Electric, which had given its $1 billion project to Capgemini, a local firm has shown its interest towards renewing the expiring contract with Indian IT giants. "Corporations in France, Germany, Switzerland etc, most of them first-time outsourcers, are now looking to work with Indian IT firms," said one of the top officials of an Indian IT firm. The report also said that a Schneider spokesperson said that talks are in progress with an Indian IT firm for renewing their Capgemini contract, however failed to disclose further information on the vendor.

Another three more European contracts of $100 million are thought to be in the Indian pipeline. The regional software delivery centers and the local workforce employed by the Indian IT vendors are thought to have a positive impact in winning the hearts of the enterprises towards Indian software services. Culture and language were the major factors that stood as barrier for Indian IT companies from entering to these markets as they  were in favor for UK and Nordic countries.
