Analog Devices Announces Winners of Anveshan 2015


BANGALORE: Analog Devices India announces the top three student design fellowship projects of Anveshan 2015. Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay, R.V. College of Engineering and Vellore Institute of Technology are the three top colleges announced for Anveshan 2015.

Launched in 2010 by the world leading data conversion and signal conditioning technology firm, Anveshan aims to build system level engineering expertise among Indian engineering student community. Organized once in two years, the fellowship offers students an opportunity to showcase their innovation, product design and problem solving abilities. Continuing the legacy, Anveshan 2015 - the student design fellowship project - outlines an innovative technological solution to address growing system level challenges faced by the world. The Fellowship helps to give shape to the ideas and makes it a reality.

Speaking about the contest, Analog Devices, Inc. announces, "2015 edition of the fellowship saw 314 plus registrations with 108 plus submissions across India. However, after two rounds, including viva sessions with selected teams, 12 finalists were shortlisted. After a long procedure with a mid-project evaluation, the top team has elected in order to present their complete prototypes for final evaluation. These were assessed by the judging panel through a stringent question and answer session with the teams. The winners were chosen based on innovation and usefulness."

Amongst the top 12 finalists, the first prizes were bagged by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay with the project title 'Baby Beats: A Baby Wellness Monitor'. The project is shaped by Neeraj Babu C, Vineesh V.S, Riyaz Mohammed, Apurv Mittal and Anjaly T.R.received a cash prize of 2,00,000. The 2nd Prize was bagged by B.Koushik and his team from R.V. College of Engineering. The project title 'Bionic Arm'. The 3rd Prize was bagged by Chandan Dhal with its team from Vellore Institute of Technology, university, the Project Title 'Psycho-physiological training approach for amputee rehabilitation'.

Commenting on the program, Somshubhro Pal Choudhury, MD, Analog Devices India, said, We are living in the era of innovation and entrepreneurship. There is an incredible enthusiasm by the student community in India to apply technology to solve challenges that they see every day, which we are trying to nurture through our Anveshan Design Fellowship Program. We are thrilled with the energy that we witnessed during the course of Anveshan 2015. These systems built by the student teams are focused on addressing key market needs, are affordable and very well thought out. I strongly encourage the student teams to take them on to the next level.

The company also supports the project with Discovery and Evaluation Kits, Emulators, Components and Software development tools.
