Amit Singhal is known as the man behind ‘Humming Bird’, the new search technology introduced by Google. With the help of this technology, the meaning of a query can be matched with that of the documents over the internet.   

Amit joined Google in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from IIT Roorkee. Being a principle scientist in the Internet giant, he had been working on IR techniques to enhance searching experience.
