Youngest Self-Made Billionaire in the World

Blakely had to battle 3 phobias in order to champion her product. Her phobias are among the most common ones but tend to leave people petrified. She is afraid of heights, flying and of course the most dreaded one – public speaking or stage-fright. She listens to a Mark Knopfler song, ‘What It Is’ on her i-pod to calm her nerves. As for stage fright, she even ended up throwing up a couple of times in backstage. She jokingly says, “I learned why they call it the greenroom.”

Tackling the first 2 phobias was easy but even lion-hearted people start quivering at the very mention of speaking before an audience. So, public speaking was not something Blakely could run away from that easily. As she had to be her own model to display the effectiveness of her product, she could not shy away from people. Her cool and composed demeanor has come from years of practicing. A camera or people shy woman would not have been able to achieve what Blakely has earned in her life. Talking about women’s inners is hard enough. Imagine wearing them before thousands to convince them of the effectiveness of her product. This brave woman has battled all this to make Spanx a hot favourite among women across the globe.
