Youngest Self-Made Billionaire in the World

Like most entrepreneurs, Blakely got the idea for Spanx through her personal experience. Spanx has turned out to be among the best women’s product in the world because a woman thought of it and tested it – on herself. As a woman, Blakely knows how female bodies function and what exactly is needed to tackle the problem areas. Testing Spanx on herself has resulted in this fabulous product.

After working for widely diverse companies, like - Clearwater Beach Hilton and Disney World, Blakely landed up in Danka, a Florida-based office supply firm. She had to sell around $20,000 worth of fax-machines. The high-spirited, appealing and verbose Sara was so good at her work that she became Danka’s national sales trainer at the age of 25. As she had to run around and back forth carrying heavy fax-machines in Florida weather, Blakely was getting sick of her outdated inner. She had been thinking of wearing a pair of cream slacks but her inner would show through her heels. She even cut off the heels to hide behind the slacks but “But they rolled up my legs all night. I remember thinking, ‘I’ve got to figure out how to make this.’ I’d never worked in fashion or retail. I just needed an undergarment that didn’t exist.”
