YouWeCan To Take It's Next Dimension: Yuvraj Singh


BANGALORE: There is a tradition of sportspersons coming up with startups as their future business plans and the three time world cup man of the match star is going to follow the footsteps of his colleagues and seniors. Yuvi started an inspirational organization ‘YouWeCan’ to endeavor that cancer is detected at an early stage, for one and all, and no one has to fight cancer alone. Its initiative will create consciousness on cancer prevention, early detection and fight against Stigma. This is a non-profit organization, reports Economic Times.

After defeating cancer the 2011 world cup triumph hero is back in the news with his new business venture. After the record transfer of $2.5 million in IPL he has been in the limelight for so long. With the average performance he could pull off in the IPL he could not make it to the Indian squad for the Bangladesh and Zimbabwe tour. Cricketers are the highest paid sportspersons in the country with numerous endorsements.  

The 33 year old said “I had been thinking about this for four-five years. There are a lot of young entrepreneurs with great high-potential ideas and I plan to invest in these startups, to build their brands and companies,"

The venture fund is aiming for a sum of 300 crores as investment in which Yuvi will invest 50 crores of his money within three to five years. This investment venture fund will primarily fund startups in healthcare, sports products, services and fashion, travel and tourism, hospitality and e-commerce. The plan is to offer seed capital ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
