One Red Paperclip

A Canadian blogger named Kyle MacDonald who got through his way from a single red paperclip to a house in series of online trades over the course of a year. He was inspired by a game called Bigger, Better, and his site received a considerable amount of notice. In 2005 he made his first trade a red paper clip for a fish shaped pen. Then he traded the pen for a hand sculpted door knob which he named as “Knob T” from Seattle Washington. Again he traded an instant party to Quebec comedian and radio personality Michael Barrette for a ski-doo snowmobile. He traded a cube van for a recording contract with Metalworks in Mississauga, Ontario and he traded this recording contract to Jody Gnant for a years’ rent in Phoenix, Arizona. Later he traded KISS motorized snow globe for a role in film Donna in Demand to Corbin Bernsen and then again he traded the movie role for a two story farm house in Kipling, Saskatchewan. This way his idea worked out well.
