8. Canada

Canada is one f the richest countries in the world and also a ethnically diverse and multicultural nation. The country has highest per capita income and ranks 11th in the Human Development Index (HDI).

Canada contributes up to 4.13 per cent of the total oil production in the world.

9. Egypt

The economy of Egypt is one of the most diversified among other Middle East countries. The country mainly depends upon agriculture, media, petroleum imports, natural gas, and tourism.

The country also produces oil and gas in the regions of Gulf of Suez and Nile Delta. Egypt contributes up to 0.74 per cent to the world oil production in 2012.

10. Iraq

With its 143.1 billion barrels of proved oil reserves, Iraq ranks second in the world behind Saudi Arabia in terms of oil reserves. In the end of 2012, oil production levels reached 3.4 million barrels. Iraq intends to increase its production to 5 million barrels per day by 2014. Only about 2,000 oil wells have been drilled in Iraq, compared with about 1 million wells in Texas alone. However, Iraq was one of the founding members of OPEC.
