BANGALORE: Companies have many good reasons to abstain from disclosing too much about themselves, be it trade secrets, pressure from competitors and even government orders.

But some firms are much better, and much quieter than others at keeping secrets- you may not even know some of them do exist. Newsonrelevantscience.blogspot.in has compiled a list of 10 such companies.

Odds are, you’ve never even heard of NextJump, unless you’re an employee or a customer. This is despite the fact that the company has been in operations for 15 years. The U.S. based company first announced its presence through a highly reputed media company- The New York Times.

The details announced were as follows:  the company employed 225 people, has 60 percent of the Fortune 500 companies as customers, and raised 45million in venture capital. The company runs an astounding array of direct merchant offer businesses, like reward programs and employee discount vouchers, for over 90,000 firms linking them with 28,000 manufacturers and retailers.

That’s about 1/3 of all corporate employees in the United States, and very few have heard its name.
