Catholic Charities’ CEO and President, Bonn Kol resigns the company four months after the organization found itself at the centre of a scandal in an effort to cover up the sexual abuse of an 8-year-old boy at one of its shelters for immigrant children.

The company issued a statement confirming Bonna’s depature, but the questions related to whether the resignation was related to fallout from the sexual scandal at St. Michael’s Home for Children were unanswered. Catholic Charities of Galveston-Houston said in a statement, "Bonna has made many contributions to the success of Catholic Charities, and her leadership will be missed."
